ART LAB X KUNSTTAGE BASEL. Tour «NFTs and the Art World: Meet Artists and Gallerists»

In the mood for art?
The "Art Lab" of the Fondation Beyeler offers young people interactive tours through Kunsttage Basel. The guides invite you to their current art hotspots and promote direct exchange among each other and with the artists. Together, the Basel art scene is explored, and access to art is expanded with micro-workshops.

What are NFTs and how do they work? Which digital media practices are prevalent in contemporary art? Join the tour, get to know other young art lovers and exchange ideas with artists and gallerists.

Lucas Gasgar and Melanie Svab will take you to their current hotspots in Basel. You’ll meet the artist Victoria Honoldt, plunge into an NFT-Laboratory hosted by the artist duo Jahic/Roethlisberger and visit the exhibition “Yummy Industries: Body’s Electrics”. Together we’ll experiment with polaroid cameras and model micro sculputres.

The guided tour takes approximately 2 hours on foot. Participation is free, and registration is mandatory. All tours take place also in case of rain.

The tour starts at Meetingpoint kHaus, Unterer Rheinweg and ends at Galerie Daeppen, Müllheimerstrasse 144, 4057 Basel.

Lucas Gasgar (*2000) was born in France and art is his greatest passion. He is currently moving between Basel and Strasbourg. During his bachelor's degree at the University of Strasbourg and his master's degree at the University of Neuchâtel, Lucas acquired a broad knowledge in the fields of exhibition conception, art management, collection and art history.
