Pigments and their use in painting
Natural pigments have been part of human history since the dawn of civilization, and remain important today despite being increasingly supplemented by synthetic pigments. This interactive exhibition explores examples of pigments and painting techniques from antiquity to the present. Visitors will learn about practical colour production methods and have the opportunity to try them out. The exhibition highlights the importance of pigments in historical and modern paints and techniques.
