Performance «One Song» by Miet Warlop
One song, one concert, one sporting event. Twelve performers turn the theatre into an arena and perform the song of their lives. Somewhere between ritual and endurance test, they push themselves to their physical and mental limits, cheered on by the audience as if at the Olympics. The competition becomes a metaphor for our times, ultimately revealing a longing for community above all else. With One Song, Miet Warlop has created a festival highlight that has elicited the same reactions ever since its premiere in Avignon: euphoria, amazement and thunderous applause.
