Kunsttage Expedition by Sandra Knecht

We asked leading figures from the art world which venues they plan to visit during Kunsttage Basel. This second tour recommendation in our series comes from Sandra Knecht.

• Gelateria EISURU, because they make my favourite ice creams in Basel.
• Porrum x Protoplast Sea Buckthorn 0.0. I love drinks and sea buckthorn.
• Contemporary Fine Arts in Totengässlein. Opening on 27 August. One of my favourite galleries. They represent such talented artists. So I’m really looking forward to seeing Zuzanna Bartoszek’s work.
• Opening of Lust* Art at Kasko on 28 August. From 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm. I’m looking forward to it. The Luststreifen Festival and Kasko are places I always enjoy visiting.
• KBH.Geiger: Tarot Reading with Mama Mischa. I’m really looking forward to this performance, as I find Chloe Wise’s exhibition ‘Extrasensory’ very funny and well done.
• Thi My Lien Nguyen at the KHaus. 3.15 pm on 28 August. I’d been wanting to see Thi My Lien Nguyen’s work for a long time, as she explores similar themes and practices to my own.
• Kunsthaus Baselland. Because it’s always worth a visit. Just like the Kunstmuseum, the Kunsthalle and the HEK.
